The 6-7 meme has gotten out of control. Kids are yelling it constantly and it is driving parents and teachers crazy! This Halloween season, join in on the fun and carve your very own 6-7 pumpkin! We’ve posted a couple pictures of these on our Facebook page and they have gone completely viral. Given the interest in these designs, we decided to create a stencil and make it free and available for you!
What is the meaning of the 6-7 meme?
The 6-7 meme is a meaningless phrase that Gen Alpha has become obsessed with. While it started as a song lyric, it has now just become a phrase said by kids and teens as an inside joke. They get a kick out of getting teachers and other adults to say the numbers out loud. Instead of being frustrated by it, parents should lean in and laugh along with their kids. A great way to do this is by carving a pumpkin together.
How to Use a Pumpkin Stencil
1. Print the stencil
Print out the design that we have in the button above.
2. Prepare your pumpkin
Cut off the top of the pumpkin and remove the guts. Feel free to reuse the pumpkin seeds later.
3. Tape the stencil onto the pumpkin
Tape the printed stencil flat against the pumpkin. If the paper wrinkles, make small cuts along the edges so it can curve around the pumpkin’s surface.
4. Transfer the design
With a pushpin, thumbtack, or small nail, poke small holes along the lines of the stencil to trace the design onto the pumpkin.
5. Remove the paper
Take off the stencil and you’ll see your dotted outline or faint transfer lines on the pumpkin.
6. Carve the design
Use a small serrated pumpkin saw or paring knife to slowly cut along the transferred lines. Start with the smallest sections first and work outward. If you want to purchase pumpkin carving tools, visit your local store or check out the product below!
6-7 Pumpkin Conclusion
See how easy that was? It only took 6 or 7 steps (wink wink). Now you have the perfect decoration for your halloween party and your trick-or-treaters will get a kick out of it!
